According to the Qichacha APP, Guangdong Xinyueneng Semiconductor Co., Ltd. was established recently with Xu Wei as the legal representative and a registered capital of RMB 400 million. Its business scope includes integrated circuit design; integrated circuit manufacturing; integrated circuit chip and product manufacturing; integrated circuit chip and product sales; semiconductor discrete device manufacturing, etc.

The equity penetration chart of Qichacha shows that Guangdong Xinyueneng Semiconductor Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Weirui Electric Vehicle Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Guangdong Xinju Energy Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Xinhe Technology Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership), with a total registered capital of 400 million yuan, and the three parties hold 40%, 40%, and 20% of the shares respectively. Among them, Weirui Electric Vehicle is an indirect wholly-owned company of Geely Auto Group, and Xinju Energy Semiconductor has also received investment from Geely in early 2021.

Some media reported that Xinyue Energy Semiconductor will mainly develop automotive-grade power semiconductor products, forming a linkage with the Xinju Energy semiconductor industry chain, so as to help Geely Automobile seize the high ground in the future layout of the smart electric vehicle industry.

Not only that, Geely has actually been increasing its investment in the semiconductor industry. In the past six months, it has disclosed the establishment of two related companies.

Suzhou Guangzhiju Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., established on May 6, is a company focusing on integrated circuit chip design and services. It is reported that the legal representative of the company is Shen Ziyu, who is also the CEO of Geely's subsidiary Ecarx Technology.

Suzhou Guangzhiju Broadcasting and Television Technology is actually jointly held by Hubei Ecarx Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Guangfei Enterprise Management Partnership (Limited Partnership). The former is the largest shareholder, ultimate beneficiary, and the suspected actual controller is Li Shufu.

In addition, at the end of last year, Wuhan Lotus Technology Co., Ltd. was established. The company also focuses on integrated circuit chip design and services. The legal representative is Feng Qingfeng, the current vice president of Geely Automobile Group and CEO of Lotus Group. Tianyancha's equity penetration chart shows that Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. holds a 60% stake in the company.
