According to foreign media reports, Brigade Electronics, a leading supplier of automotive safety systems, has launched a new indicator warning system bbs-TI, which can alert vulnerable road users when the vehicle turns.
The warning system is mounted on the side of the vehicle close to the sidewalk and, when activated, syncs with the vehicle's indicator lights to sound an audible alarm to alert vulnerable road users that the vehicle intends to turn.

The new vehicle safety system can use Brigade's existing White Sound® broadband technology to allow vulnerable road users to immediately locate the direction of sound coming from. Compared to traditional tone-based alarms, White Sound® is softer, quickly diffuses the sound, and can only be heard by vulnerable road users when they are in the danger zone, helping to reduce the distraction of unnecessary noise.
For vehicles operating in different countries, White Sound® also offers the advantage of universal recognition, eliminating the language barrier of traditional voice alarms.
Features of the bbs-TI include: visual and audible vehicle turning warnings to alert vulnerable road users; multi-country applicability - no language barriers; option to silence the alarm during nighttime hours; option to activate the alarm only below a specified speed; bbs White Sound® technology synchronized with the vehicle indicator flashers; available for left or right turn installations; and compliance with laws and regulations requiring an audible vehicle operation alert to vulnerable road users when turning.
