As the rate of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) installation increases, domestic sensor brands are also welcoming market opportunities. Recently, Xingyidao and South Korea's ERAE officially signed ADAS system contracts for two passenger car mass production projects with an Asian vehicle manufacturer, with a total amount of more than 400 million yuan, and plans to install 300,000 units in the next five years.

As a domestic brand of millimeter-wave radar, the core perception sensing system of ADAS, Xingyidao is reportedly going to carry out functional customization development, engineering adaptation and large-scale mass production preparation for the ADAS systems of two passenger car mass production projects of the OEM. Its independently developed 77GHz mid-range millimeter-wave radar and 77GHz short-range millimeter-wave radar support the AEB (automatic emergency braking), ACC (adaptive cruise control), BSD (blind spot detection), RCTA (rear cross traffic warning), DOW (door opening warning) and other functions of the above-mentioned passenger car models, and will cooperate to support customer models to pass the functional safety ASIL B of the ADAS system and the NCAP 5-star test in different sales areas.

It is reported that in line with the customer's mass production schedule, as of October 2020, Xingyidao has completed the test and verification work such as function adaptation, off-line calibration scheme adaptation, body mounting structure adaptation, and installation height adaptation of the 77GHz forward mid-range millimeter-wave radar that supports AEB and ACC systems.

In addition, to cooperate with the pre-production system verification of customer models, the 77GHz forward mid-range radar of Xingyidao supports the operation of ADAS systems such as AEB, and has completed more than 200,000 kilometers of road tests. According to the customer's plan, 300,000 kilometers of road tests will be completed by the first quarter of 2021 at the latest. At the same time, the adaptation work of the 77GHz short-range millimeter-wave radar installed in the rear corner of the vehicle, the development and verification of ADAS functions (including BSD, RCTA, DOW, etc.) for customer models, offline calibration solutions, local road scene adaptation and body installation environment adaptation are all in progress.

Xingyidao said that through this automotive ADAS system pre-installed mass production project, in cooperation with excellent vehicle brands and automotive Tier 1 suppliers, Xingyidao not only gained valuable engineering project experience, but also effectively verified the reliability and consistency of the product in supporting the AEB system function, which has the most functional safety challenges.
