Recently, according to the announcement issued by the China Materials and Testing Standardization Committee (CSTM Standardization Committee), the standards "Ammonium Polyvanadate" and "Silicon Vanadium Ferronitride" jointly drafted by the institute, Chengde Vanadium Titanium New Materials Co., Ltd., Hesteel Co., Ltd. Chengde Branch, and Panxi Vanadium Titanium Inspection Institute have been successfully released.

Vanadium is an important strategic resource, mainly used in steel, chemical industry, aerospace, new energy and other fields. Ammonium polyvanadate is an important intermediate product in the vanadium industry chain, and its quality directly affects the value of the back-end vanadium products. At present, the industry adopts enterprise standard production, lacks unified standard specification technology, and there are differences in product composition, inspection, packaging, etc., which may lead to objections in the transaction process and hinder the healthy and orderly development of the industry. Therefore, it is urgent to formulate ammonium polyvanadate standards to solve the problems of lack of ammonium polyvanadate standards and inconsistent technical indicators. The release of the standard "Ammonium Polyvanadate" is conducive to promoting the quality level of ammonium polyvanadate products and the level of order in the transaction process, and improving the comprehensive utilization efficiency of vanadium-containing materials.

Silicon nitride ferrovanadium is a new type of alloy additive for steelmaking. It combines the high nitrogen content of silicon nitride and the micro-alloying characteristics of vanadium nitride, and is widely used in steelmaking production. At present, there is no unified standard in China to regulate the technical requirements, packaging, storage, transportation, marking and quality certificates of silicon nitride ferrovanadium products. This standard can be used as the basis for the production and delivery of silicon nitride ferrovanadium products, and has a positive effect on regulating the trade behavior of both parties to the transaction, establishing a good market competition order, and promoting the healthy development of the industry.

The release of the two product standards standardizes the technical requirements for related product testing, including the sampling and preparation of analytical samples, chemical analysis methods of related elements, and the determination of bulk density and burn rate, which plays an important supporting role in promoting the development of the vanadium industry.
