Jilin: Encourage the rational layout of energy storage facilities along highways

On December 26, 2023, the People's Government of Jilin Province issued the "Medium- and Long-Term Plan for the Trunk Highway Network of Jilin Province (2023-2035)", which mentioned:

Promote green and low-carbon development. Integrate ecological protection, green and low-carbon concepts into the entire process and all links of highway planning, design, construction, operation, management, and maintenance, reduce resource and energy consumption and carbon emissions throughout the life cycle, build green highways according to local conditions, strive to achieve a balance between filling and excavation for qualified projects, gradually promote the use of environmentally friendly snow-melting agents, and take physical anti-skid and physical snow and ice removal measures for facilities in ecologically sensitive areas. Plan and build a convenient, efficient, and moderately advanced charging and swapping network, coordinate the planning of traditional energy and new energy facilities in highway service areas, and encourage the reasonable layout of photovoltaic power generation and energy storage facilities along the highway.
