Recently, the first phase of the largest energy storage power station within the Southern Grid, the "Guangxi Chongzuo Banchong 200MW/400MWh Energy Storage Project", was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation. The project fully adopted Sungrow's PowerTitan liquid-cooled energy storage system, and the power was successfully delivered on site in one go.
The Banchong Energy Storage Power Station is a supporting project of China Energy Construction's 2000MW wind, solar and storage integrated project in Chongzuo City, Guangxi. It is constructed by China Energy Construction's East China Institute of Power Engineering EPC. After being connected to the grid and put into operation, it can effectively promote the consumption of new energy electricity, improve the energy structure on the power supply side, enhance the peak-shaving capacity of the local power grid, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
As a benchmark large-scale energy storage power station within the Southern Power Grid, the project has extremely high safety requirements for the energy storage system.
Relying on the concept of "three-electric integration", Sungrow's PowerTitan system key equipment is fully self-developed, with comprehensive protection from battery cells to systems, ensuring stable equipment operation and reliable response to grid dispatch, while improving system online rate and customer benefits, helping power stations achieve multi-dimensional full-chain safety from personnel to assets, from grid connection to operation and maintenance, from early decision-making to later operations.
Faced with the high temperature and high humidity environment in Guangxi, PowerTitan uses intelligent liquid cooling to control temperature and provide efficient and balanced heat dissipation, allowing it to operate fully and stably at high temperatures. It also has IP65 protection and multiple safety and leak-proof designs to ensure safe and reliable operation of the system in multiple dimensions.
