At present, many places are making good use of green electricity resources and actively building zero-carbon industrial parks. In the Envision Ordos Zero-Carbon Industrial Park, 80% of the park's energy is directly supplied by local wind power and photovoltaic power, and 20% is traded with the power grid, achieving 100% green zero-carbon energy supply. Zhang Lei, CEO of Envision Technology Group, said that the company plans to build more zero-carbon industrial parks and provide system solutions for zero-carbon energy.
Not only in the fields of industry and construction, the vast countryside also provides huge space for the development of the new energy industry.
"In the past, it cost more than 300 yuan a month to light the cowshed. Since the photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof, we have saved a lot of electricity bills." Bao Baoyintu, secretary of the Party branch of Huatugula Village, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, highly praised the comprehensive smart new energy project built in the village.
In 2022, SPIC built 11MW photovoltaic power, 8MW wind power and 100 household photovoltaic projects in the area. Pointing to the photovoltaic power station not far away, project leader Sun Wen told reporters: "Originally this was idle saline-alkali land. We rented it, improved the soil, and gave it to the villagers to plant buckwheat for free. The panels generate electricity and the plants are planted under them. The village can also earn more than 100,000 yuan in land rental income every year."
Promoting the development of rural wind power and photovoltaic power is not only an effective means to strengthen the village collective economy and broaden the channels for farmers to increase their income, but also an important way to help achieve the dual carbon goals. The "14th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy" has deployed the "Thousands of Towns and Villages Harnessing the Wind Action" and the "Thousands of Households Bathing in the Sun Action", proposing to vigorously promote rural wind power construction with counties as units, and coordinate the construction of distributed photovoltaic power on rural roofs that meet the conditions or coordinate the arrangement of village collective centralized sites. "According to calculations, an administrative village only needs to take out 200 square meters of land, install two 3-megawatt wind turbines, and use the village collective land as equity, etc., and the village collective can increase its income by more than 200,000 yuan each year." Qin Haiyan introduced.
"Photovoltaic + sand control", "new energy + hydrogen energy", "new energy + energy storage"... More "new energy +" application projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace. According to relevant officials from the National Energy Administration, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the focus will be on diversified integration, focusing on photovoltaic sand control, photovoltaic corridors, deep integration of offshore wind power and marine oil and gas, and large-scale renewable energy hydrogen production, and exploring new models of multi-variety complementary and multi-scenario comprehensive development.
"In the past decade, the wind power and photovoltaic industries have achieved leapfrog development from small to large and from weak to strong. In the next decade, we will cross more technological 'no man's land', enhance industrial competitiveness, and contribute more Chinese 'wind and light' to global green development." Qin Haiyan said.
