China Energy Storage Network News: On April 18, in the demonstration area of the Green Low-carbon Industrial Park in Jianshan New District, Haining City, Zhejiang Province, all the electricity generated by the photovoltaic power generation project was consumed on site. Since the park went online with the source-grid-load-storage coordinated control system on June 30 last year, the line loss rate has dropped by about 1 percentage point. "Now the system has been upgraded to a new generation of distribution automation system, and this year 312 enterprises and residents will have access to rooftop photovoltaic power generation projects." The person in charge of the power dispatching and control sub-center of Haining Power Supply Company introduced.
This year, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. relied on policy empowerment, enriched energy storage types, scientific energy use, and promoted energy conservation "four-wheel drive" to promote the interactive upgrade of source, grid, load and storage, and took the highly elastic power grid as the core carrier to continuously improve the grid regulation capabilities, solve the two problems of "whether external electricity can come" and "whether new energy power generation can be generated", and accelerate the construction of provincial demonstration zones for new power systems.
Policy empowerment enriches energy storage types
In the process of promoting the construction of a new power system, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power relies on policy empowerment, focuses on the uncertainty of external electricity, strives for external clean electricity, strengthens power demand side management, and explores new models such as energy rights trading.
This year, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power continued to tap the potential of demand-side resources and rely on the ultra-high voltage AC/DC hybrid power grid to enhance the ability of clean energy from outside the province to enter Zhejiang.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has made efforts from the top-level design, and released the implementation plan for carbon peak and carbon neutrality and the construction plan for the provincial demonstration zone of the new power system at the beginning of the year. According to the plan, a number of new power system demonstration projects such as the diversified integrated high-elasticity power grid in Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Jiaxing Jianshan, Ningbo Panmeishan, and Lishui, and the Shaoxing Jinghu multi-energy coupled DC distribution network are being accelerated.
Enriching energy storage methods is a technical condition to meet the large-scale consumption of wind power and solar power and solve the uncertainty of new energy. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power promotes the construction of energy storage power stations, accelerates the development of pumped storage power stations, and improves the flexibility of the power grid.
On March 17, the construction of the 1.2 million kilowatt pumped storage power station project in Taishun, Zhejiang Province started. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2028. The project is designed to have an average annual power generation utilization of 1,000 hours and annual pumping utilization of 1,333 hours, helping the power grid to reduce peak loads and fill valleys.
Deepen interaction and promote smart energy use
Hangzhou Xiaoshan District has a large industrial energy consumption. This year, the district implemented budgetary management of industrial enterprise energy consumption, issued annual energy consumption budget indicators for enterprises at the beginning of the year, and tried out a coordinated adjustment mechanism for industrial enterprise energy consumption, allowing enterprises to transfer or lease the remaining energy consumption space and energy saving within a specified time. At present, there are more than 6,500 enterprises involved in energy consumption budgeting in the district. It is expected that this year, the energy consumption per unit of industrial added value will be reduced by about 4%, and the annual electricity consumption of the district will be saved by about 360 million kWh.
This year, Lishui began to explore the path of energy rights trading and carried out market-based trading of energy rights based on energy budget indicators to help balance regional energy consumption and improve energy efficiency. At present, the amount of electricity traded in energy rights in Lishui has exceeded 1.2 million kWh.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is promoting the transformation of power supply to a more refined, flexible and market-oriented mode, building a "one-click response" demand-side management model for all businesses, all regions and all time periods, creating a dynamic "virtual power plant", tapping the potential of demand response, expanding the number of participants and enriching the response model.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has strengthened the construction of customer load interruptibility capabilities and deepened the interaction between customers and the power grid. In the first quarter, it completed the on-site facility transformation of 2,282 customers with minute-level interruptibility.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is accelerating the application of a large number of new power system-related new technologies, such as grid elastic intelligent development, dynamic capacity expansion, and distributed power flow control technology, making energy use smarter and more efficient.
Improving energy efficiency and promoting low-carbon transformation
Under the background of "dual carbon", energy conservation forces the transformation and upgrading of industries. State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has established the concept of "energy efficiency is the first energy" and "saving energy is the cleanest energy", promoted "power supply + energy efficiency service", focused on key areas such as industry, construction, and transportation, and started from energy efficiency drive to help the whole society shift from "energy control" to "carbon control" and promote the improvement of energy efficiency level of the whole society.
On March 31, the Taizhou subsidiary of State Grid Zhejiang Integrated Energy Service Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Shuanghuan Transmission Machinery Co., Ltd. reached an agreement to jointly build an intelligent centralized gas supply system based on the improvement of air compressor energy efficiency. According to estimates, after the system is completed, Shuanghuan Transmission's energy consumption is expected to drop by more than 30%, saving 4.6 million kWh of electricity annually, and reducing energy expenditure by 3.2 million yuan per year.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power focuses on promoting efficient substitution and large-scale application of electricity in high-energy consumption areas, promoting the application of technologies such as multi-energy synergy, combined heat and power, hydrogen-electricity coupling, and energy cascade utilization, improving multi-energy complementary capabilities, and helping to make energy use more economical.
On April 15, at the Ningbo Siming Chemical Co., Ltd. residual energy utilization distributed energy station, combustible gas discharged from the workshop was converted into electricity to continuously supply the workshop production line. In the view of Ma Yaming, general manager of the company, utilizing residual energy is turning waste into treasure and achieving both economic and environmental benefits.
