China Energy Storage Network News: On March 14, it was learned that an invention patent in the field of new energy dispatching of State Grid Jibei Electric Power Co., Ltd. was recently authorized by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which has promoted the improvement of the new energy operation control technology level with independent intellectual property rights of State Grid Corporation of China, and is of great significance to enhancing the company's international influence.
The invention patent granted in the United States this time is for a control method and device for active power of a wind farm group. The patent proposes a method for controlling active power of a wind farm that takes into account multiple constraints of the power grid. The new energy active power control system developed based on the patented technology has been put into operation in the Jibei Electric Power Dispatching and Control Center in 2014, achieving precise control of the output of new energy, ensuring the safe operation of the power grid in large-scale wind power collection areas, and improving the level of new energy consumption. So far, State Grid Jibei Electric Power has cumulatively increased the generation of new energy electricity by 6.6 billion kWh through this method.
In recent years, in the face of the rapid development of new energy, State Grid Jibei Electric Power has carried out research in the areas of active and reactive optimization control of large-scale cluster new energy, and massive data mining to improve absorption capacity. It has achieved many original technological results and has been authorized more than 40 national invention patents.
