As photovoltaic applications mature, the Swiss government's feed-in tariff (FIT) subsidy policy for solar power generation may be gradually cancelled in the near future. The Swiss government has tilted the balance of energy policy towards photovoltaic self-use projects, encouraging more households, public utilities and commercial users to install self-use photovoltaic power stations on their roofs.

The University of Lausanne in Switzerland actively responded to the government's call and installed a 318kW photovoltaic project on the roof of the school's teaching building. The project uses 270W Q Cell photovoltaic modules and APLS YC1000 micro inverters. The completion of this project not only provides green power support for the school, but also greatly reduces the school's electricity expenses.

The reason why APSON YC1000 micro-inverter was selected for this project was mainly due to the following considerations. Micro-inverter can be directly installed on the back of the photovoltaic module panel, saving space, and no extra cables or special space are needed to install the inverter. At the same time, YC1000 is easy to install, and the one-to-four product design greatly saves the cost of system installation. In addition, there is shadow shading in the system, and the use of micro-inverter can effectively optimize the power output of the system and solve the component mismatch problem caused by shadow shading.
