Taiwan power management solutions provider Delta Electronics has entered the Danish market and provided its own high-efficiency solar inverters for a total of 126 solar stations in the Vandel area, with a total scale of 50.4MW. This batch of projects is estimated to generate 71.7 million kWh of electricity per year, equivalent to the annual electricity demand of 21,500 Danish households.
Delta Vice President Zheng An said that this plan has helped accelerate the development of renewable energy in Denmark. Following the global trend of carbon reduction, Delta has saved 17.3 billion kWh of electricity for global customers between 2010 and 2015, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 9.2 million tons.
The Danish solar energy construction plan, which consists of 126 small projects, is located at the former site of the NATO Air Force Base, covering an area of 108 hectares, with an average installation capacity of around 400kW per project. Delta provided a total of 1,008 RPI M50A solar inverters, which is one of the largest projects in the renewable energy field in Delta's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region to date, and also symbolizes Delta's solar inverter business from home and commercial to power plant level.
Delta's RPI M50A solar inverter has a conversion efficiency of up to 98.6%, and the housing has an IP65 protection level, which can withstand the harsh climate of Denmark. The string design is more flexible in installation than the centralized type. In addition, the built-in DC fuse and lightning protection (SPD) eliminate the need to install an external DC connection box.
