[Rawpixel RVB2601 Creative Application Development] Running Routine HELLOWORLD [Copy link]

  • Preface

The previous article briefly introduced the software and hardware environment of the RVB2601 development board. This time, let's run a sample program. We usually start with hello world. Normally burning the program is the first step to successful development.

  • Running routine

I opened the downloaded program directly. After compiling, I found that there were no Packages. The software reminded me that ch2601_helloworld: link script not found, maybe not config chip pack!

I searched for a solution online. The correct process requires searching for the corresponding development board on the main homepage.

According to the experience of predecessors, the SDK package was not installed. Download it on the homepage and open the example.

Compilation completed. I don't know why it took more than 3 minutes to compile. Haha, it feels a bit long.

  • Download Test

Download the program to the development board, as shown below:

Prompt that the download is successful!

Check the identified serial port and prepare to reset the RVB2601 development board to verify the program.

The serial port prints hello world!

Summarize:

  1. Becoming familiar with software functions and correctly burning programs are the first steps in development, and the rest can be transplanting previously developed functions.
  2. The compilation time is relatively long, I don’t know if it’s because it’s the first time I use it.
  3. RISC-V is an open source architecture that does not require ARM authorization, which is very friendly to domestic chips.
  4. Thanks again to eeworld and Pingtou Ge for providing the opportunity. I hope I can use good national chips in future projects.
