Huaneng actively adapts to the development trend of global energy internet

China Energy Storage Network News : On September 26, Cao Peixi, general manager of China Huaneng Group, attended the "Global Energy Internet High-end Forum - China Initiative One-Year Anniversary Commemoration" in Beijing and delivered a speech entitled "Dedicating Clean Electricity and Promoting Energy Interconnection".

Cao Peixi said in his speech that as an important participant in promoting the development of clean and green energy, Huaneng is committed to actively adapting to the development trend of the global energy Internet, strengthening strategic planning research, and actively participating in the construction of a safe, clean, efficient and sustainable energy security system. It will make full use of the opportunities of global energy interconnection, vigorously implement green and clean development, accelerate the layout of power projects, increase the pace of "going out", and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the industry. At the same time, Huaneng will continue to support the work of the Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization, actively participate in the construction of the Global Energy Internet, and contribute to the world's energy transformation and sustainable development of mankind. Cao Peixi also made four suggestions to the participants: First, accelerate the promotion of electric energy substitution and clean substitution, and improve the level of clean and efficient energy utilization; second, accelerate the opening of overseas power supply channels to achieve regional clean energy sharing, mutual benefit and win-win; third, build a global energy Internet construction consortium, accelerate the layout of overseas projects, and enhance international competitiveness; fourth, attach importance to the research and development of energy interconnection technology and standards, promote the open sharing of relevant data and information, and enhance the recognition and influence of energy interconnection technology and standards in the international energy market.

It is understood that this forum was jointly held by the Global Energy Interconnection Development Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) and the State Grid Corporation of China on the first anniversary of President Xi Jinping's initiative to build a global energy interconnection at the United Nations Summit. The cooperation organization was established in 2016. It is a non-governmental, non-profit international organization voluntarily formed by relevant enterprises, organizations, institutions and individuals committed to promoting the sustainable development of world energy. Its purpose is to promote the construction of a global energy interconnection, meet global electricity demand in a clean and green way, promote the realization of the United Nations' "sustainable energy for all" and climate change goals, and serve the sustainable development of human society.
