Liu Zhenya listened to Stanford University's introduction to research on battery energy storage, energy conversion (electricity to gas, electricity to oil), big data, etc., and visited the school's energy and materials laboratory. Liu Zhenya introduced the innovative achievements of State Grid Corporation of China in the fields of ultra-high voltage and smart grid, and elaborated on the idea of building a global energy Internet. That afternoon, Liu Zhenya, Chairman and Party Secretary of State Grid Corporation of China, inspected the American Research Institute of State Grid Intelligence Research Institute, visited and expressed his condolences to all the staff of the American Research Institute, and listened to the report on the construction work of the overseas research institute.
Liu Zhenya pointed out that building overseas research institutes is a major strategic deployment of the company to integrate global intellectual resources and improve the scientific and technological innovation system. The US Research Institute is the first overseas research institute established by the company. In the past year since its establishment, it has opened up the working situation and achieved a good start. Liu Zhenya emphasized that the company's party committee has high hopes for the development of overseas research institutes.
