On May 28, the Jiangxi Province Lithium Battery New Materials Industry Cooperation Promotion Conference was held, at which 14 projects were signed with an investment of 12.8 billion yuan.
Among them, Zhejiang Mattel Group invested 2.8 billion yuan to build a new energy automobile industrial city in Xinyu, Jiangxi, and planned to form an annual production capacity of 200,000 electric vehicles by 2015. Among the 14 projects, 12 were located in Xinyu, Jiangxi, with an investment of 12.2 billion yuan, including a new energy automobile industrial city project with an investment of 2.8 billion yuan, a new high-power power and storage battery project with an investment of 2 billion yuan, etc.; one was located in Ganzhou (a lithium-ion power battery project with an investment of 500 million yuan); and one was located in Yichun (a lithium mica purification and deep processing project with an investment of 100 million yuan).
