Qualcomm Life of the United States exhibited its home wireless medical solution "2net" at the world's largest medical IT exhibition "HIMSS" (The 2012 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition@Las Vegas) held in Las Vegas, the United States from February 20 to 24, 2012. The company is a subsidiary of the wireless communication giant Qualcomm of the United States established in May last year, dedicated to the medical wireless solution business called "Qualcomm Wireless Health". 2net is the first solution of this subsidiary.

With 2net, medical institutions can view the vital signs of patients at home at any time through the cloud-based 2net platform, such as body temperature, pulse, and blood sugar level, and patients can also view it themselves. Patient data measured by medical equipment that supports Bluetooth, WiFi, or short-wave wireless communication is first encrypted through the Continua-compliant 2net hub, and then sent to the data sensor in the platform through the 3G network for storage. The data stored in the data sensor can be viewed at any time in medical institutions and patients' homes.
The system is a plug-and-play medical solution that only requires the patient to plug a small 2net hub into a power outlet at home. In addition, the 2net platform meets HIPAA security regulations and has also been certified to ISO13485, an international standard that certifies the quality of medical devices. The 2net platform and hub are registered with the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) as a Medical Device Data System (MDDS).
2net small terminal
The blood sugar measurement data is wirelessly sent to the cloud platform for storage. It is also convenient for home use without cables.
