Facing the demand for smart factory sensor upgrades
Industry 5.0 focuses on intelligence, sensing capabilities and high automation, representing a new wave of revolution in the field of smart industry. In this context, the demand for high-precision and miniaturized sensors in industrial automation and IoT applications in multiple fields continues to increase. To improve the accuracy of analog functions and digital control, the NuMicro M091 series of 32-bit highly integrated analog microcontrollers integrates a variety of analog peripherals in a small package size, including analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and supports up to four precision operational amplifiers (OP Amps). It also has a full range of peripheral support, making it the first choice in the field of photoelectric, pressure and position sensors.
Highly Integrated Analog Microcontroller Core Features
Based on the Arm® Cortex®-M0 core, the NuMicro M091 series runs at a frequency of up to 72 MHz, with 32 KB to 64 KB of Flash memory, 8 KB of SRAM, and an operating voltage of 2.7V to 3.6V. The NuMicro M091 series not only has a breakthrough in performance, but also has a rich set of analog peripherals, with 4 sets of 12-bit DACs and up to 16 channels of 12-bit 2 MSPS ADCs. In addition, the series supports up to four sets of precision rail-to-rail operational amplifiers (OP Amps) with excellent specifications, which can effectively improve the accuracy of the output signal and help improve the accuracy of algorithm calculation and judgment in the sensor, including low offset voltage (Input Offset Voltage) as low as 50 µV, extremely low offset voltage temperature drift of 0.05 µV/℃, slew rate of up to 6V/μs, and wide gain bandwidth of 8 MHz to ensure the integrity of the signal after amplification and built-in temperature sensor with a full temperature error of ± 2 °C.
Enrich peripheral modules and applications
In addition, the addition of peripheral modules such as up to 6 32-bit timers, 1 UART, 1 SPI, 2 I²C, and 6-channel 16-bit BPWM ensures that the sensor can cope with various application scenarios and provide a more comprehensive solution. To meet the growing demand for small-size sensors, the series provides small package sizes of QFN33 (4 x 4 mm) and QFN48 (5 x 5 mm), allowing sensing technology to be easily integrated into various application scenarios.
Easy to start development
The NuMaker-M091YD development board and Nu-Link debugger based on the M091 series are powerful tools for product evaluation and development. It also supports IDEs provided by third parties, such as Keil MDK, IAR EWARM, and NuEclipse IDE independently developed by Nuvoton Technology, providing developers with more choices and convenience.
