Rockwell Automation and partners from all walks of life jointly initiated the first Shanghai Climate Week to open in Shanghai

Qiyuan Climate Lighthouse, writing a green chapter together


(April 22, 2024, Shanghai, China) As one of the world's leading companies in industrial automation, information technology and digital transformation, Rockwell Automation responded to the first Shanghai Climate Week jointly initiated by more than 100 global partners and officially opened today at the Shanghai Pudong Art Museum. The first Shanghai Climate Week will last for five days, among which the Climate Park series of activities will bring together multi-dimensional topics including climate beacon, climate technology, climate health, etc. As one of the initiators of the Climate Beacon, Rockwell will also add the key perspective of the coordinated transformation of the digitalization and greening of the manufacturing industry to the first Shanghai Climate Week with its century-old accumulation in the fields of smart manufacturing and green technology, and then work with domestic and foreign partners to jointly create a community force covering multiple industries and write a green chapter.

With the purpose of "Chinese Action, Asian Voice, World Standard", Shanghai Climate Week is a global climate change communication and cooperation platform jointly participated and built by various political, business, academic and social organizations. On the opening day, the opening ceremony of Shanghai Climate Week 2024 and the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Green Carbon Asia Forum, the Beautiful China Forum, the Nordic Climate Forum and other activities were successively held, which opened the prelude to more cross-border activities in the future.


As one of the important action projects of the first Shanghai Climate Week, the Climate Lighthouse Lighting Ceremony and Theme Forum will be held at Orbit on April 23. The event was initiated by Shanghai Climate Week and Rockwell Initiative, and co-organized by Lingang Group, Hongkong Land, DTZ, Deloitte, etc. It focuses on the four major areas of climate lighthouse buildings, communities, manufacturing and supply chains, aiming to light up a better future for mankind with green digital innovation. During the event, Rockwell will work with partners from all walks of life to release the "New Chapter of "Climate Lighthouse": The Latest Insights on Frontier Technology of Climate Change" on site, and carry out a series of links such as climate lighthouse use case awards, strategic signing, and special discussions, and discuss the construction path of climate lighthouses with the guests, colliding with green inspirations from multiple industries and perspectives.
