Platform updates make it easy for companies to continuously improve features, automate business operations using UI and APIs, and run automation projects at scale
Beijing, December 14, 2022 - UiPath, an enterprise automation software company, recently announced the launch of new platform capabilities, adding new automation innovation features that are easy to develop, allowing users to leverage the advantages of automation in more business processes.
“The UiPath Business Automation Platform provides the foundation for organizations to develop new applications and automate existing ones,” said Ted Kummert, Executive Vice President of Products and Engineering at UiPath. “Whether organizations are looking to accelerate profitable growth, save costs, or improve employee and customer experiences, UiPath makes it easy to digitize and automate more of their workflows.”
“Automation is a core business driver for our company, allowing us to be digital first, more agile and flexible in the face of market challenges, while creating a people-centric citizen developer culture,” said Javier Castellanos, head of Digital IT and Robotics Factory at Orange Spain, who has trained nearly 500 employees on automation. “The community has been instrumental in our transformation. Citizen developers are our best resource for identifying automation opportunities, and they find UiPath technology easy to use and powerful. With our Robotics Factory, every action of the robot has a measurable effect, and we can evaluate it in real time.”
New UiPath Platform capabilities include:
A new generation of business automation development tools: For developers, the browser-based automation development tool UiPath Studio Web provides cross-platform users with automation creation capabilities and makes it easier to distribute automation processes on a large scale in the enterprise. This version includes new features that simplify the creation of public-facing processes and applications, improving customer experience in customer service and other value chain scenarios. In addition, UiPath Connector can also simplify API connection issues with internal applications and special industry solutions, maximizing the automation processes and applications that developers can build.
Endless Continuous Discovery: Continuous discovery helps customers understand the current status of processes and tasks, take optimization actions, and achieve expected business results through continuous monitoring and improvement. Upgrades include:
● Automation Hub provides ROI comparisons between expected benefits and actual outcomes, helping users learn from success and repeat it.
● Process Mining has high scalability, improved performance and new analytical tools, allowing enterprises to gain more comprehensive insights into process status.
● Assisted Task Mining allows process improvers to capture and record not only processes in a common way, but also actual natural variations.
Enhanced platform intelligence: New capabilities enable customers to automate more and more business processes. Through the acquisition of Re:infer, the new version adds Communications Mining capabilities to the platform to help companies collect and unlock the value of the massive amounts of communication data generated every day. Companies can analyze emails, documents, chat logs, social information, etc. to extract actionable business data and new automation opportunities. Document Understanding expands automation use cases for new localized businesses such as bank and financial statements and common supply chain documents such as packing lists. AI computer vision has also been upgraded to easily read new dynamic screen content such as scrolling tables on the web and in applications.
Enterprise-level enhancements to Automation Cloud™ and Automation Suite: Automation Cloud supports delayed updates, giving enterprises more time to test. Site-to-site VPN support for Automation Cloud Robots enables robots to automate systems and data in private clouds. New security and compliance features include IP range restrictions and customer-managed keys. For self-hosted customers, Process Mining and serverless robots have been added to Automation Suite, along with other new enterprise features such as support for Active-Active High Availability/disaster recovery and greatly reduced hardware and other resource requirements.
