Interroll wins 400th global sorting machine order to support La Poste Group hub-EEWORLD

Recently, Interroll and system integrator Actemium Lyon Logistics received an order from La Poste, the French postal group, to provide three sorting machines to its logistics companies including DPD and Viapost. This order is the 400th sorting machine order Interroll has received worldwide.

The three sorting systems are planned to be installed at three logistics hubs of the French Post Group in France, namely the Roissy hub (August 2020 - Roissy), the DPD hub (July 2020 - Billy-Berclau) and the Viapost hub (June 2020 - Argonay).

With the rise of e-commerce, the number of parcels around the world is growing steadily, packaging is becoming more diverse, and higher requirements are being placed on express delivery time. These new trends have brought new challenges to the logistics companies under the French Post Group, especially in parcel handling and sorting.

In order to meet the challenge in a flexible and efficient manner, system integrator Actemium Lyon Logistics developed a solution that applies the latest conveying and sorting technology on three sorter platforms, combined with a state-of-the-art warehouse control system.

Interroll receives 400th order for sorting machines worldwide

Interroll supplies horizontal and vertical crossbelt sorters for courier, express and parcel service providers for fully automated sorting processes. Interroll crossbelt sorters have a throughput rate of 2,000 to 12,000 pieces per hour, making them an efficient solution for sorting a wide range of item types.

By adding a new infeed module, Interroll's modular platform solution has been further expanded, making extremely efficient logistics solutions possible. The design of the new infeed module is perfectly matched to Interroll's cross-belt sorter, with higher infeed speeds and smaller space requirements, which can greatly improve the ability of automatic sorting systems to handle items. In addition, its low-noise operation ensures a quieter and more comfortable environment for workers working around it. Finally, the mechanical design of Interroll's cross-belt sorter can strictly control energy consumption to a minimum, while providing extremely high availability and flexibility during use, ensuring a low environmental footprint.
