SynQor® introduces an advanced 28 Vdc input 3U VPX product with extended continuous power supply capability [VPX-3U-DC28TH-001]
March 26, 2024 - SynQor announced the launch of its latest 28 Vdc input VPX power supply, which has extended continuous power supply function and is designed for the most stringent aerospace and shipboard applications, model VPX-3U-DC28TH . This 3U VPX complies with the VITA 46 standard, which enables military and industrial designers to use the latest flexible, efficient and reliable VPX technology to power VITA 62 chassis. Notably, this VPX integrates 50ms continuous power supply function to meet the power interruption and voltage drop requirements specified by MIL-STD-704F.
The VPX-3U-DC28TH is extremely efficient over the entire temperature range of -40 to 85 °C (at wedge lock), with an efficiency of 91% and is capable of delivering 500W of output power. It also has a range of advanced features such as integrated EMI filters, conduction cooling, six output voltages (with reverse polarity), overvoltage, undervoltage, short-circuit and overtemperature protection. In addition, it supports I2C communication functions (IPMI, PMBus, VITA 46.11). The standard VS1, VS2 and VS3 outputs of this power supply can be load-shared on a standard VITA 62 chassis. The VPX-3U-DC28TH is designed for the most demanding military and commercial applications and complies with VITA 46, 47, 62, MIL-STD-704F, 461F and 810G standards.
Features:
▪ 6 outputs (VS1: +12 V; VS2: +3.3 V; VS3: +5 V; Auxiliary port: +3.3 V, +12 V and -12 V)
▪ Operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C capable of delivering 500W output power
▪ Extended continuous power supply over 50ms at 500W
