Infineon Technologies sets new technology standards with OptiMOSTM 5 25 V and 30 V power MOSFETs in PQFN 2x2 package
[Munich, Germany, March 14, 2022] Infineon Technologies AG recently launched a new OptiMOSTM 5 25 V and 30 V power MOSFET product family in PQFN 2 x 2 mm2 package , aiming to set a new industry standard for discrete power MOSFET technology. These new devices use thin wafer technology and innovative packaging to achieve extremely small size and significant performance advantages. The OptiMOS 5 25 V and 30 V power MOSFET product family has been optimized for synchronous rectification in SMPS applications such as servers, communications, portable chargers and wireless charging. These power MOSFETs can also be used in drones for ESC (electronic speed control) modules of small brushless motors. As we all know, drones usually require small and lightweight components.
These leading power MOSFET devices are packaged in a PQFN 2x2 package , which features higher power density, compact dimensions, and the industry's lowest on-resistance, further reducing energy consumption. The small 2 x 2 mm2 package provides greater flexibility for PCB layout and routing. In addition, the solution has excellent electrical performance, which can further increase the power density of terminal applications and reduce the dimensions. At the same time, the reduction in system temperature and the improvement in performance also make thermal management easier. These features help to achieve smaller customer applications, fully save space, reduce system costs, and create easy-to-design products.
