The PTS526 series long life version is designed for home automation, IoT devices, etc. and can continue to operate for the life of your product.
WALTHAM, Mass. — February 22, 2022 — C&K, a leading manufacturer of high-quality electromechanical switches, has introduced a new long-life, subminiature tact switch. The PTS526 Long Life Subminiature Tact Switch improves upon the well-known PTS526 Series switch by extending the electrical life by 100% and increasing the mechanical life from 500,000 to 1,000,000 cycles. The PTS526 Series Long Life version meets the growing demand for high-quality, price-competitive switch solutions in high-volume consumer product manufacturing.
The ultra-miniature PTS526 series long-life version of the tact switch measures 5.2 x 5.2 mm and can be customized in thickness from 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm. Because PCB space in consumer electronic devices is at a premium, the ultra-miniature PTS526 series long-life version of the switch allows customers to add more features to their product designs or develop smaller end products - without sacrificing product performance or reliability.
The long-life version of the PTS526 series has a large operating surface for easy integration, making it ideal for applications such as home automation, IoT devices and e-cigarettes. It is also well suited for control systems for items such as drones, e-bikes and smart vacuum cleaners.
Daisy Liu, Global Product Manager for C&K Tactile Switches, commented: “C&K has refined the PTS526 Series switches to meet the needs of a variety of commercial applications that require higher levels of performance. The PTS526 Series Long Life version is economically priced to provide our customers with the best value for money.”
