Recently, when disassembling the Nubia 20W Mini PD fast charger, the charging head network found that its internal synchronous rectification solution uses the integrated synchronous rectification chip LP15R060SD of Xinmao Microelectronics. Although the Nubia charger has a traditional straight-plate appearance, it supports a wide range of protocols and also supports two sets of PPS fast charging, and has good compatibility with Android phones.
This Nubia charger adopts a straight-plate design with a bright waist. The front is printed with the nubia brand and 20W power. The input and output surfaces are cut, and the top center is a USB-C female socket. It supports three output voltages of 5V3A, 9V2.23A and 12V1.67A, and supports two sets of PPS outputs of 3.3-5.9V3A and 3.3-11V2.2A. The charger is produced by Aoda Power Supply, a subsidiary of listed company Aohai Technology.
Through disassembly, it was found that there was an isolation plate between the primary and secondary inside the charger, reinforced with white glue.
By observing the back of the PCB, you can see that the circuit slots between the primary and secondary are used to pass through the isolation board. The upper right corner is the focus of today's introduction, the Xinmaowei LP15R060SD synchronous rectifier chip.
The charger uses the Xinmaowei LP15R060SD for synchronous rectification. The LP15R060SD integrates a synchronous rectification controller that supports DCM and CCM and a synchronous rectifier tube with a 60V withstand voltage and 12mΩ conduction resistance. The peripheral components are simplified and the pins are covered with a large area of copper to assist in heat dissipation.
The LP15R060SD from Xinmao Micro is a high-performance synchronous rectification chip for switching power supplies. It withstands 60V and is compatible with DCM and CCM working modes. It is suitable for synchronous rectification applications for switching power supplies. The LP15R060SD uses the patented synchronous rectifier tube opening judgment technology of Xinmao Micro, which can effectively avoid the wrong opening of synchronous rectification. The LP15R060SD has an extremely fast shutdown speed, which can greatly reduce the efficiency loss caused by shutdown delay in CCM mode. It also has a unique VCC power supply technology, and also integrates VCC undervoltage protection and overvoltage clamping to ensure stable operation of the chip.
The peripheral components of Xinmaowei LP15R060SD are simplified, suitable for high-side and low-side operation, and adopts SOP7 package.
