In order to ensure that the EPS emergency power supply is better applied to the fire emergency system, the EPS emergency power supply needs to be inspected and tested before or during use. The following are the inspection steps for the EPS emergency power supply. It is best to be operated by personnel with relevant professional knowledge to avoid errors and failures:

1) First, put the EPS emergency power supply into the main power and backup power working states respectively, and check the display of its main power voltage, battery voltage, output voltage and output current as well as the color of the indicator light.

  2) Switch the EPS emergency power supply to battery working state automatically or manually, and check the main power and backup power output of the emergency power supply.

  3) Activate the forced emergency start button to switch the fire emergency lighting to the emergency state and keep it on until the discharge stops. Check the over-discharge protection and fault conditions of the emergency power supply.

  4) Open and short-circuit any power supply branch of the centralized power supply type fire emergency lighting fixtures, and then put the fire emergency lighting fixtures of the other branch into the main power state and emergency state respectively, and check the working condition of the fire emergency lighting fixtures.

  5) Place the emergency power supply of the centralized power supply type fire emergency lighting in no-load, 10% full load, full load and 20% overload states respectively, and check the working condition of the emergency power supply.

  6) Check the rated voltage and segment protection of the battery (group), and then measure the voltage of each segment of the battery (group) when the battery (group) is fully charged.

  7) Open and short the connection lines between the charger and the battery of the EPS emergency power supply respectively to check for faults.

  8) Open and short-circuit the output main line and branch connection lines of the EPS emergency power supply respectively, and check for fault conditions.

  9) Open and short-circuit the emergency control circuit of the EPS emergency power supply respectively to check its fault condition.
