  1. Two easily confused concepts: power supply and power converter

  The original definition of power supply is: a device that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy is called a power supply. According to this definition, the common power supplies in daily life are as follows:

  Wind power : converting wind power into electricity

  Batteries: Convert chemical energy into electrical energy

  Power Converter : A device that can control and convert the form of electrical energy. According to the different conversion types, it can be divided into the following categories:

  1. Classification according to conversion form: AC-AC, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC

  2. Classification according to conversion method: linear power supply, switching power supply

  3. Classification according to the effect of regulation: voltage stabilization, constant current, frequency modulation, phase modulation

  2. If the power source is classified according to the number of conversions, it can be divided into primary power source, secondary power source, and chemical power source, as follows:

  A Primary power source: converts other energy into electrical energy, such as wind power, thermal power, hydroelectric power stations, etc., which is what we usually call municipal electricity or power grid.

  B Secondary power supply : A device that converts part of the power of the main power supply into another form of power to meet the different requirements of different electrical equipment for different forms of power .   DC-AC (Direct Current - Alternating Current): Inverter.

  DC-DC (Direct Current - Direct Current): Direct current power supply.
