In the history of lighting products, we have developed from the earliest incandescent lamps to the current LED lighting products. The requirements of human lighting products have gradually changed from "brightness" to "color temperature" and further developed into the new topic of lighting products, "personalized" intelligent control products. Lighting products have entered the era of "comfort function". So far, why do high-star hotels usually have dimming systems, but ordinary families do not? Ordinary families certainly need it. The high price has turned this function into a luxury, and this demand in ordinary families has been suppressed. Adjusting the color temperature is a more luxurious function, which is difficult to achieve in traditional lighting systems, suppressing this enjoyment.
The permanent topic of lighting products is "energy saving"
We use the "law of conservation of energy" to convert electrical energy into light energy to produce lighting. The efficiency of modern lighting systems is obviously very important, and energy conservation has become a permanent topic. From the perspective of energy-saving functions, the illumination standards of general offices, workshops, schools and other places are designed for night environments, but they are basically used during the day. It is neither comfortable nor wasteful. When there are not enough guests in the restaurant, turning on the lights in the areas without guests is a waste, and turning off the lights makes people uncomfortable. Some areas of the office have people working, while some areas are not working, and this function is also needed. However, how to solve the above practical problems has become the largest market for our further development of "personalized" intelligent control products.
The dilemma of intelligent dimming and color adjustment products
The share of LED products in various lighting fields is increasing rapidly. In fact, traditional light sources are not suitable for or cannot be dimmed. When dimming, fluorescent lamps need to maintain the filament temperature, and the efficiency will decrease. When the control is poor, the life span will also decrease. The dimming performance of metal halide lamps is even worse. When metal halide lamps are dimmed, indicators such as light efficiency, light quality, and light source life are all deteriorated, and even stable light emission cannot be guaranteed. LED is particularly suitable for dimming, color temperature, and even color adjustment. However, LED dimming and color temperature adjustment products have been developed for many years, but have been limited by various performance or price barriers. If you want to increase the efficiency of the lighting system by one percentage point, engineers from all aspects of the light source, structure, and power supply have to work hard. This is the core problem that leads to the high price of dimming and color temperature adjustment system products.
As LED lighting continues to occupy the traditional lighting market and intelligent lighting technology and applications gradually mature, LED lighting digital power is expected to end the pattern of low sales and high costs of LED dimming and color temperature adjustment, bringing greater comfort to our home lighting and higher energy-saving efficiency to office lighting in the future.
