The StrongKIWI solution uses the industry's most advanced OFDM modulation power line carrier technology, and uses single-phase power lines as data transmission channels to achieve remote control and status feedback of any of the three phases of the existing street light system. The solution realizes communication between the street light controller and the concentrator, and uses GPRS/CDMA for communication between the concentrator and the cloud server. Users can control and read data from any street light controller in the control room through a PC or through a mobile phone, pad or other handheld terminal (using a secure encrypted channel), and can manage historical data and real-time data in the background.
StrongKIWI's "Core-to-Core" intelligent street light control solution has strong anti-interference capabilities and can achieve intelligent management of street lights without wiring. It is especially suitable for tunnels, highways, landscape lighting and other places where wiring is inconvenient and wireless transmission interference is large.
Features of the “Core-to-Core” system solution
“Core-to-Core” is a strong core (core hardware) plus a smart core (intelligent software).
1. Strong Core- Core Hardware
The concentrator and street light controller of StrongKIWI intelligent street light control system adopt the independently developed narrowband power line carrier communication (Power Line Communication) module SKWP035A based on OFDM technology. This module has been carefully designed after repeated research. The core components use the world's top chips, and the circuit board is made with gold plating technology. It is processed and tested in a high-quality patch factory to ensure the best working state of the module and long-term stable operation.
SKWP035A adopts the industry's most advanced OFDM modulation technology. Aiming at the network characteristics of China's domestic power grid and the demand for reliable data transmission, it adopts customized and robust software algorithms and communication protocols to reliably transmit data through power lines. It has the characteristics of no need for wiring, long transmission distance, stability and security, and is suitable for various fields where wiring is inconvenient and wireless transmission is difficult.
Based on StrongKIWI's "strong core", communication between modules can achieve long-distance and fast transmission (measured data: 2000 meters without load, 600 meters with street light load, no communication barriers, and the physical layer signal transmission speed is up to 42Kbps). 2. Smart Core - Intelligent Software
The intelligent street light control system street light controller and concentrator launched by StrongKIWI are built with self-developed advanced communication protocols, specially designed for the harsh domestic power grid environment, with automatic dynamic routing, automatic relay forwarding, automatic error retransmission, FEC/CRC error correction and other functions, to maximize the reliability of communication and transmission efficiency.
The system architecture innovatively adopts a multi-concentrator solution to achieve intelligent self-healing function. Only a small amount of standard GPRS module cost is required to realize the operation of multiple concentrators in the system. When a concentrator (or street light controller) fails, it will not cause the street light control system to lose contact with the background. The backup concentrator will automatically start operation and notify the maintenance personnel.
“Core-to-Core” control system architecture
The StrongKIWI intelligent street light control system uses a single-phase power line as a data transmission channel, and can remotely control and transmit status information to any of the three phases of the existing street light system. The system structure diagram is as follows:
StrongKIWI provides the standard power line carrier communication module (model: SKWP035A) and concentrator module (model: SKWP035A and SKWG323A) for the street light controller node in the whole system. The hardware/software required for the background system and management platform is provided by partners or specified by customers, and StrongKIWI provides necessary technical support and services.
Street light controller (control node)
Street light controller hardware system
The street light controller hardware system includes power line carrier data transmission function, CS5463 power collection function, relay function, AC/DC power supply, etc. The street light controller is directly connected from a 5-core 3-phase cable, the power line carrier module is connected to the specified phase, and the power collection part and the relay high-voltage part are connected to the power line of the phase where the street light is located. As shown in the figure below.

The street light controller software system includes the underlying driver, networking protocol, application layer, etc.
Concentrator
Concentrator Hardware System
The concentrator hardware is realized by loading the universal GPRS expansion module on the basis of the StrongKIWI power line carrier standard module SKWP035A. It can be upgraded to a concentrator by simply adding the GPRS expansion module without hardware modification.
The concentrator has two functions. One is to transmit data with each street light controller through the power line to manage the entire communication system. The other is to transmit data with the remote server through GPRS to ensure that the communication system is manageable and controllable. The principle block diagram of the concentrator is as follows:

The concentrator software system includes bottom-level drivers, networking protocols, application layer data packaging, GPRS data transmission, etc.
Summarize
StrongKIWI's "Core-to-Core" intelligent street light control solution is based on OFDM power line carrier technology and is equipped with a carefully designed software protocol. It meets customers' needs and provides a highly reliable solution for the intelligent street light control industry.
