At present, the mainstream products in the lighting market are 5-7W and 9-12W bulbs. Here, we take the 7W LED bulb as an example. The price we found in the sales stores in Shenzhen, China is $14.98 (Taiwanese chips, Chinese packaging). Assuming that the dealer's profit is 15% (2.25 US dollars), the structural cost is $12.73. After investigation and understanding, the LED light source cost is about 37.7%, the structural parts account for 18.5%, and the power supply accounts for 21.7%. These three parts account for the proportion of cost, and the light source and power supply costs still have room to fall.

  The market price of LED light source (chip, package) in the third quarter of 2011 was about 0.92-0.45 US dollars, and the average was 0.68 US dollars per piece. A 7W product requires 7 pieces in total, which means that the LED light source costs 4.8 US dollars, accounting for about 37.7% of the structural cost. The main structure, including heat sink, connector, sphere and other parts, has a price cost of 1.46 US dollars, 0.58 US dollars and 0.68 US dollars respectively, accounting for about 18.5% in total. The power supply is considered to be a link in the current slow development of LED lighting products. Both the quality and the price need to be improved and reduced. The power supply accounts for about 21.7% of the structural cost, about 2.76 US dollars, which is also a part that needs to be strengthened. The reasonable range should be below 10%.

Usually, LED street lights are rare in distribution points. The profit value of dealers is about 10%, plus the profit of the lighting factory is about 15%, which is converted into the actual structural cost of LED street lights. It is about US$290.   The main components of LED street lights are LED light sources, lamp housings, power supplies, and other accessories. We believe that the reasonable price of LED light source should account for about 20-25% of the structural cost of street lamps in 1-2 years. Without considering the price reduction of other parts at the same time, the price range is about 54-67.5 USD, that is, the cost price of a single LED is about 0.31-0.42, and the price must be reduced by 45-60% from the current price.

  Street lamp housing: The price is extremely chaotic, because there are many manufacturers, it is difficult to get an average. However, the price positioning of the lamp housing is still certain. Because it also has the function of heat dissipation, the pricing principle is based on the actual street lamp power and wattage as the definition standard. For example, a 160W street lamp product costs about US$63.7, accounting for about 23.6% of the street lamp cost.

  The proportion of street lamp power supply in the cost ratio is not much different from that of spherical lamp power supply, which is also around 21%, and the price is about US$55.9. It also needs to be improved. The reasonable range should be within the range of 10%.

  The prices of other accessories, including thermal conductive adhesive, thermal conductive sheet, light transmittance, light distribution, etc., account for about 15.7%, or about US$42.4.
