LD7209 is an LED driver. This series of components can drive 3 to 8 WLED backlights and provide 38V open circuit voltage protection. It can be used in small-size screen backlight LEDs powered by lithium batteries and other portable products such as mobile phones, PDAs, GPS, laptops and digital photo frames.
LD7209 adopts 1MHZ high frequency PWM switching frequency design, which can effectively reduce the volume of external inductors and capacitors, and use PWM input (200HZ ~ 200KHZ) to adjust the LED brightness, so that the LED current is proportional to the PWM duty ratio.
In addition to flexible brightness control, the LD7209 also integrates reliable protection features; built-in soft activation eliminates surge current during activation, and has LED open circuit protection, current overload limit and overheat protection. And in cut-off mode, it consumes only 0.1mA, reducing battery power consumption.
The efficiency of LD7209 can reach up to 90% or more. It provides an internal 0.3V reference voltage. When the LED current is limited, the efficiency is the highest and the battery life can be extended.
LD7209 is available in a mini package (3mm×3mm DFN-8).
