The XCM524 series is a 1PKG multifunctional IC that combines a 600mA synchronous rectification step-down DC/DC converter with a built-in driver transistor and a VDR composed of a VR and VD with ultra-high speed/high current multi-functions.

The use of an ultra-small surface mount package (USP-12B01) enables space saving.

In addition, the DC/DC converter and VDR are completely separated inside the PKG, thereby minimizing the effect of the noise generated by the DC/DC converter on the VDR.

The DC/DC converter part is a synchronous rectification type that supports ceramic capacitors and has a built-in 0.42Ω PchMOS driver transistor and 0.52Ω NchMOS switch transistor. Using only coils and capacitors as external components, a high-efficiency and stable power supply with an output current of up to 600mA can be obtained.

The VR part of VDR is a CMOS process positive voltage LDO regulator IC that realizes high precision, low noise, high ripple rejection rate, and low voltage dropout. The capacitor (CL) used for output stabilization can be compatible with low ESR capacitors such as ceramic capacitors.

In addition, it has good transient response and can obtain stable output even when the load changes. The fixed current limiting circuit and feedback circuit can limit the output current and protect the output terminal from short circuit.

The capacitor delay function of the VD part can also delay the output. The delay time can be adjusted using a capacitor.

The VD part can be used to monitor the input voltage of VR.
