■ Overview
As the power consumption of portable devices increases, it is often necessary to switch the voltage applied to the CPU chip between standby mode and working mode, or to convert the input power using an AC converter or battery. In general, in order to convert the output voltage, products such as DC/DC converters (XC6365/66 series) that can set the output voltage externally are used. Here we introduce how to use the XC6401 series products that can use low-noise 2chVR to achieve output voltage conversion.

Only 1 load capacitor (CL) is used.
Voltage conversion can be performed by external control.
No SD is required to prevent backflow.

■ Working principle description
When both EN1 and EN2 are "H", the higher voltage of VOUT1 and VOUT2 is output as the output voltage (VOUT). Current Limiting Characteristics When the output voltage of VR at the 2ch end is (VOUT2) 3.3V and IOUT = 300mA, the current limiting operation starts.
When the voltage drops to 2.8V, the output voltage (VOUT1) of the 1ch terminal, the current limit range is extended by 300mA from the current of the 1ch terminal VR. In addition, the current consumption (ISS) is about twice (about 50uA) compared to when either EN1 or EN2 is in the operating mode.
The transient response of the load is shown in Figure 1. When either EN1 or EN2 is "H", the respective outputs are VOUT1 (3.3V) and VOUT2 (2.8V), and their current limit characteristics are shown in Figure 2.
