IRC Wirewound and Film Technologies Division have introduced the OAR-TP series of metal current sensing resistors for open-air applications, rated at 3W, which can greatly save PCB board space and are suitable for compact power design applications.

The OAR-TP through-hole mounted resistors have high current and flame-retardant characteristics compared to traditional axial devices and chip devices. The reduction in PCB board area occupied by the product is achieved by increasing the height, which promotes air circulation and heat dissipation, thereby improving its thermal performance.

The OAR-TP series resistors have the same parameters as the OAR devices, with a power rating of 1W or 3W at 85℃, a resistance range of 0.1Ω to 0.005Ω, a tolerance of ±1%, a TCR of less than ±20ppm/℃, an inductance of several nH, and an operating temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃.
