The MAX4888B/MAX4888C (2 × DPDT), high-speed passive switches are ideal for switching two and a half PCI Express? (PCIe) data lanes between two possible destinations. These devices feature dual digitally controlled inputs for switching signal paths. The MAX4888C is designed for use in systems where the inputs and outputs are capacitively coupled (such as SAS, SATA, XAUI, and PCIe) and provides 10μA (typ) of source current and 60kΩ (typ) of internal bias resistors to ground at the AOUT_ and BOUT_ pins.
The devices are fully specified to operate from a single +3.3 V (typical) supply. Both devices are offered in an industry-standard 3.5 mm × 5.5 mm 28-pin TQFN package. They operate over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.
Key Features
● +3.3 V single supply voltage
● Support PCIe Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4 data rates
● Supports signals up to and including 6.0Gbps SAS / SATA
● Support for other high-speed interfaces (e.g., XAUI)
● High bandwidth return loss
● Small 3.5mm x 5.5mm 28-pin TQFN package
