NXP's SSL2103 is a dimmable Greenchip controller for LED lighting, suitable for flyback and buck configuration applications. The device supports most dimming solutions, has the best efficiency, neutral dimming curve can be logarithmically corrected to 1%, over-temperature protection (OTP), winding short circuit protection (SWP) and over-current protection (OCP). The SSL2103 is a Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) controller IC that operates in combination with a phase cut dimmer directly from the rectified mains. It is designed to drive LED devices. The device includes a circuit to allow direct start-up from the rectified mains voltage.
For dimmer applications, an integrated dedicated circuitry optimizes the dimming curve.
