What are the factors that affect LED light separation and color separation?
LED application products, especially semiconductor lighting products, have an increasingly strong demand for high-power LEDs, and at the same time, the quality requirements for LEDs are also getting higher and higher, which is mainly reflected in the following 7 aspects:
1. Forward voltage test: The forward voltage range must be within the permitted range of the circuit design. Many customers design the drive light-emitting tube to light up in the form of voltage. The forward voltage will directly affect the change of the overall circuit parameters, thus bringing hidden dangers to product quality. In addition, for some products with requirements for circuit power consumption, it is hoped that the forward voltage is as low as possible under the same luminous efficiency.
2. Luminous flux classification: Luminous flux value is an indicator that LED users are very concerned about. LED application customers must know the range of the LED luminous flux they use, so as to ensure the uniformity and consistency of the brightness of their products.
3. Reverse leakage current test: The reverse leakage current should be lower than the required value when a certain voltage is applied. During the production process, the LED reverse leakage current is too high due to factors such as static electricity and chip quality. This will pose a great hidden danger to LED application products and can easily cause LED dead lights after a period of use.
4. Dominant wavelength classification: For monochromatic LEDs, the dominant wavelength is an important indicator to measure its color parameters. The dominant wavelength directly reflects the human eye's visual perception of LED light.
5. Color rendering index classification: The color rendering index is directly related to the degree of color change of an object when light shines on it. This parameter is very important for LED lighting products.
6. Relative color temperature classification: For white light LED, color temperature is a parameter that is used more frequently in the color industry. This parameter can directly show whether the LED color tone is warm, cool or pure white.
7. Chromaticity coordinate x, y binning: For white light or monochromatic light, chromaticity parameters can be used to express the color region of the LED. Generally, four points x, y are required to determine a chromaticity region. Certain testing methods must be used to ensure that the LED falls within the required four-point x, y chromaticity region.
In view of the above points, we can adopt two solutions for effective light separation and color separation. One is to use a large number of manual processes from voltage measurement to leakage current to luminous flux to spectrum to control quality and grade. The other is to use a professional high-power LED light separation and color separation machine for automatic grading, which is efficient and fast, and can separate the light and color of each LED.
