First, let me introduce the materials used in the production (all materials are available in Electronic City)
1. Micro switch (2-3 yuan each)
2. LED lights (colors: white, blue, green, red, light, yellow, automatic flashing, etc.....Except for the automatic flashing, all colors have large and thin heads) (1-5 yuan)
3. Batteries (Silver-zinc button batteries have two advantages: one is that they are easy to hide in the model, and the other is that one has a 3V current
1. Making a switch
Step 1: First select a suitable micro switch (of course, the size should be smaller than the model parts)
Step 2: Since the model glue is thick, use a tool to grind the inside thinner and open a gap at the appropriate position to facilitate the exposure of the switch button
Step 3: Connect the two wires to the positive and negative poles of the switch respectively
Step 4: Check whether the switch can be properly hidden in the parts and see if the parts can be properly assembled
2. LED light connection
Step 1: Connect the two wires to the positive and negative poles of the LED respectively (usually the longer one is positive and the shorter one is negative, but this is not a rule, so it is best to test it)
Step 2: Wrap the wires with tape to prevent short circuits (it doesn’t matter what tape you use, it’s only 3V anyway)
Note: If used in a humid environment, for safety reasons, please use electrical tape3
. Place LED lights
The gun head uses a thin LED light
Step 1: Cut off the connection of the gun head and open its position
Step 2: Since the tail of the LED light head is wider and the component is not that wide, a groove must be carved in the component to hide the light
Note: How to hide the light depends on the space of the component itself, so there is no rule, everyone should adapt to the situation!
The space of the aiming device in the gun is larger, so a large LED light is used
Step 1: The same method, cut off the front connection and open its position
Step 2: Bend the LED light foot into a shape that can be fixed on the component. Note that the positive and negative poles must be separated, otherwise there will be a short circuit
Step 3: Measure the wire and cut a capsule in the middle for connection
Note: If you have little experience and cannot cut the middle connection (because it is easier to cut), you can use two wires to connect separately
Step 4: Connect the wires and test whether the positive and negative poles of the two LEDs are connected incorrectly (if connected incorrectly, the thin-headed fruit branch will not be connected)
4. Choose a location to place the battery
It is not easy to choose a suitable location because there is not much space. This time, a smaller battery (CR1220) is used, which is the same as the one used in the PG Zeta Gundam head.
Step 1: As usual, cut off all the useless parts and choose the location according to the situation of the parts
Step 2: Of course, try to see if the battery can be placed in that space5
. Making a battery box
Since the battery boxes available on the market are relatively large in size, we need to make a custom one. The materials used are the model plastic sheets bought from general model shops
Step 1: Cut the plastic sheet to a size larger than the battery, and cut out several strips for preparation
Step 2: There is no accurate measuring tool, so check if the height is appropriate
Step 3: Use model glue to stick to the strips to build a concave character, and then stick the panel on to make the shape in the middle of the picture (cut off the excess)
Step 4: Open a hole at the top and bottom for placing the iron sheet
The iron sheet material used this time is the buckle when buying socks. This iron sheet is very easy to use. It is easy to bend and not easy to break
Step 5: Bend the iron sheet into a Z shape to facilitate placing it in the previously prepared position
Step 6: Make the front and back sides into the shapes shown in the picture.
Note: Because the negative pole of this battery is at the top and the positive pole can be connected to the bottom or the left and right sides, but it is possible to contact the negative pole if it is placed on the left and right sides, so it is recommended to place it at the bottom6
. Connect the battery box
Step 1: Place the battery box in the pre-arranged position, the size is just right!...... (In fact, the size has been measured when making the battery box)
Step 2: Connect the wires, first connect the wires on the edge of the LED fruit (connect the negative pole to the negative pole of the battery box)
Note: In fact, it is also OK to connect the positive pole of the LED fruit to the positive pole of the battery box, as long as the positive pole is not connected to the negative pole
Step 3: Connect the positive pole of the battery box to one of the wires of the switch, because the switch has no positive and negative poles
Step 4: As usual, test it after connecting it!
Step 5: Twist the wire of the switch into an S shape, because the gun handle is movable, the S shape can provide enough flexibility, of course, it depends on the space of the parts
Step 6: Put the gun together, and then try whether the circuit contact is poor when the gun handle moves. If so, of course make corrections7
. Make the battery box cover
I believe everyone has some model experience, make a suitable battery box cover!
