The winning construction unit or system integrator will carry out the final in-depth design according to the winning system configuration, that is, make the final minor adjustments. At this point, the whole design process is basically completed. Then in the subsequent construction process, if there is building decoration or system function adjustment, it is necessary to make partial modifications and improvements to the design. At present, due to various reasons, except for a few engineering projects that follow the above steps, a large number of intelligent engineering construction drawings of engineering projects are designed by system integrators. Because when the system integrator participates in the bidding for intelligent system engineering design, the architectural design construction drawings of the architectural design institute have been completed, and the construction unit is eager to construct the intelligent system engineering. After the system integrator wins the bid for the scheme design, it will enter the construction drawing design stage, and the important link of preliminary design and its review is often overlooked.
Grasp the overall design and reflect the technological advancement
The overall design of the project should include the application function analysis of the building, the positioning of the design standards, the design principles, the system setting plan, the equipment configuration requirements, the economic cost estimation, the system operation environment, the project implementation plan, etc. Therefore, the overall design plan of the project should be focused on first. Its guiding ideology is: functional applicability, advanced technology, economic rationality, convenient maintenance, sufficient room for expansion and compliance with the requirements of sustainable development of system technology.
The advancement of system technology is the basic point of the overall engineering design. The so-called advancement of intelligent system technology should at least reflect the following aspects:
At least the system technology that will be widely adopted in the next five years;
System technology with application necessity and good effect;
Similar projects have been adopted and have proven to be relatively successful system technologies.
Designer's Self-cultivation
Clear building overview
As a professional intelligent designer, the first thing to do after receiving the design task is to familiarize yourself with the architectural drawings, including the location and size of the machine room, the location and size of the weak current shafts on each floor, the functions of each room in the building, the vertical and horizontal lengths of the building, the layout of the pipe shafts, etc. Only after being familiar with these contents, the designer can at least conceive of the trunk route and the direction of the indoor and outdoor pipes in his mind, and whether the selected system equipment or technology can meet the requirements.
Identify your needs
Analyzing user needs refers to Party A's needs for intelligent systems. Although design is to give full play to the creativity of designers, intelligent systems do not rely entirely on the subjective creativity of designers. After all, intelligent systems are highly applicable and manageable. Generally speaking, the application and management of intelligent systems after the project is completed are implemented by Party A (management company, property, etc.). The needs of Party A in the early stage are one of the powerful guarantees to avoid design errors by designers. Before communicating with Party A, you may receive a system design task book, and designers must carefully analyze every line and sentence. If Party A does not understand the intelligent system, it can be suggested that Party A or the user put forward specific functional requirements, and then the designer will use his professional knowledge to transform Party A's abstract functional requirements into intelligent systems with corresponding functions.
It is generally believed that excellent designers should have two crucial awarenesses: not blindly follow the client, that is, if there is a conflict with the national industry-related design specifications, the design must comply with the requirements of the design specifications; as a service provider, the designer should reasonably optimize the configuration of the intelligent system for the client based on the client's positioning of the building's grade and its budget, so as to meet the client's needs without causing excessive costs.
Familiar with national, local and industry standards
As a professional designer, you should be familiar with national, local and industry design standards or specifications. For example, I have seen many design drawings that use older versions of specifications, so the design should be consistent with the pace of updating of standards or specifications. In addition, Shanghai, where I live, has issued a series of technical defense standards for various industries. If the designer is not familiar with this, the design plan will definitely be unqualified.
Design process coordination
Any engineering design, any profession cannot be completed independently, but must be closely communicated and coordinated with various professions and units to finally complete the design. Intelligent professional design must cooperate with the following units or professions, including Party A, architecture, structure, equipment, power supply, fine decoration and other professions or units. Only in this way can a satisfactory design plan be delivered.
Grasp the key links of project implementation
The implementation of an intelligent project must firmly grasp its key links, which are as follows:
Functional requirement analysis and overall system design, mainly grasping the design standards of the project and the functional positioning of the system;
The choice of contractor or integrator is the key to the success of a project. In a sense, a system integrator is an organic integration of technical capabilities, project management, and organizational capabilities.
System maintenance and management are the basic guarantee for return on investment.

According to the contract and design requirements, the engineering interfaces between various systems, as well as between electromechanical equipment, civil engineering, and decoration, as well as the scope of the project and the responsibility interface between product suppliers, work contractors, and construction units should be determined during the project implementation process, and these engineering interfaces should be modified, adjusted, and reconfirmed during the project implementation process. The determination of the engineering interface is a necessary condition for the opening of the system and is one of the key points or difficulties in technical management in the project. The determination of the engineering interface usually includes: the determination of the equipment and material supply interface, the determination of the system technical interface, the determination of the design interface, and the determination of the construction interface.
Pay close attention to the review of technical and construction design drawings and their materials. Intelligent engineering design involves a wide range of professions and types of work. It is necessary to review the engineering technology and construction design before construction, find problems in a timely manner and take necessary measures, especially review the drawings and materials to ensure that the equipment list, monitoring point table in the engineering contract and the actual situation in the construction drawings are consistent. Only in this way can the integrity of the hardware equipment be ensured and the requirements of interface, linkage, and information communication technology parameters be met.

In addition to meeting routine engineering management requirements, we should also focus on the following tasks: strengthen coordination and cooperation between professions and types of work, and strengthen inspection and acceptance between processes.
Since the installation and commissioning of engineering piping, wires, troughs and line laying equipment may be carried out by different units, the corresponding construction records or installation forms must be filled in after the completion of each process or type of work. When installing, threading and wiring individual equipment, the handover and acceptance must be carried out in accordance with the hidden works and corresponding engineering acceptance specifications and design drawings. Keep test records of individual equipment and submit relatively complete engineering technical archive materials to ensure project quality and prevent wrangling.
