The SGS100A has an extremely compact form factor, only one height unit high and 1/2" rack width, and is extremely fast to set frequency and level. Both of these features illustrate that the SGS100A is designed to be used in systems with very good consistency. It is also suitable for all applications that require multiple RF signal generators, such as beam forming applications; or applications that require the use of extremely compact RF generators, such as the SGS100A operating source signal in customer systems. With the same outstanding signal purity and level accuracy, it offers features typically found only in high-end instruments including high output power, high level repeatability, and wide modulation bandwidth. It was developed with special emphasis on lowering total cost of ownership and calibration. Long intervals, excellent serviceability, and expansion options greatly improve the usability of this RF signal generator. When used as a benchtop instrument, the SGS100A is manually operated through the SGMA-GUI software installed in the instrument.
