An oscilloscope is an electronic instrument used to measure the shape of alternating current or pulse current waves and has a wide range of uses. So what parts does an oscilloscope consist of? Next, I will give you a brief introduction to the components of an oscilloscope.

An oscilloscope has five basic components:

1. Display circuit

2. Vertical (Y-axis) amplification circuit

3. Horizontal (X-axis) amplification circuit

4. Scan synchronization circuit

5. Power supply circuit

display circuit

The display circuit includes two parts: the oscilloscope tube and its control circuit. The oscilloscope tube consists of three parts: electron gun, deflection system and phosphor screen.

Vertical (Y-axis) amplifier circuit

The measured signal is processed and the Y deflection voltage of the oscilloscope tube is supplied to form a vertical scanning circuit.

Horizontal (X-axis) amplification circuit

A sawtooth wave voltage is generated and supplied to the oscilloscope tube X deflection voltage to form a horizontal linear scanning circuit.

Scan sync circuit

The sawtooth wave voltage is generated, causing the electron beam of the oscilloscope tube to form a time baseline, and the measured signal in the vertical direction is displayed on the fluorescent screen as a time-varying waveform.

Power supply circuit

A circuit that supplies various voltages required by various parts of the circuit.

This is the introduction to the components of the oscilloscope. I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
