How to measure diodes with a digital multimeter
The connection method when using UT6OE to measure diodes is as shown below:

When measuring a diode with a digital multimeter, what is specifically and accurately measured is the working voltage value in the forward direction of the diode, while the compass digital multimeter measures the value of the resistor in the forward and reverse directions of the diode. 1. How to measure diodes with a digital multimeter
1. Plug the red DC ammeter into the "HzVm" socket and the black DC ammeter into the "COM" socket. The optical rotation of the red DC ammeter is " " and the optical rotation of the black DC ammeter is "-".
2. Set the function measurement range switch to 15-2 accurate measurement gear, and then press the SELECT key to select the diode detection function. Connect the red DC ammeter to the positive pole of the diode under test, and the black DC ammeter to the negative pole of the diode under test.
3. Read the similar forward voltage drop value of the diode from the LCD display. The silicon diode is generally 0.5-0.8V.
2. Common Problems of Using a Digital Multimeter to Measure Diodes
1. If the diode under test is connected incorrectly or its optical rotation is incorrect, the display will show "OL";
2. When measuring online diodes, be sure to cut off the power supply and discharge the related capacitors before measuring.
