We know that the working principle of the paddle-rotary level switch is to use a micro motor as a driving device to continuously rotate the material detection blade through the transmission shaft. When the blade contacts the material, the micro motor stops rotating, and the detection device outputs a switch signal; when the material drops below the blade, the micro motor drives the blade to continue to operate normally again. From the working principle of the paddle-rotary level switch, it can be seen that the micro motor is the key component for the stable operation of the paddle-rotary level switch. So, how should the motor of the paddle-rotary level switch be selected?
Generally speaking, when choosing a motor for a paddle-rotating level switch, the following aspects should be considered:
1. The speed of the motor. In order to make the motor drive the blades to rotate continuously at a uniform speed during operation, a uniform speed motor with a fixed speed of 1 rpm should be selected.
2. The power of the motor. If the motor is to be able to drive the blades to rotate continuously, then its power range must be able to meet the torque requirements generated when different blades contact the material.
3. The structure of the motor. Since the whole machine is in the industrial site for a long time, the motor as a key component should have certain protection performance, and the installation hole of the motor should be firm and reliable.
4. The temperature rise of the motor. Since the material has a certain process temperature, when selecting the motor, a motor with a heat dissipation design (metal shell heat dissipation, heat dissipation holes, etc.) should be selected. This kind of motor has a small temperature rise and can effectively avoid damage caused by excessive temperature of the motor.
5. The speed reduction mechanism of the motor. This micro motor is mostly built-in with a gear-type speed reduction mechanism. In order to make the motor more reliable and durable, a gear speed reduction mechanism made of all metal should be selected.
When choosing the motor of the paddle-rotary level switch, in addition to paying attention to the above five factors, you should also consider whether the motor voltage and current meet the design requirements of the circuit, and whether the motor power consumption is low enough to meet the requirements of environmental protection and energy saving.
