First, we need to understand:
(1) The alarm probe is mainly a detection element of the combustion gas sensor. It is a spherical shape composed of a platinum wire coil wrapped with alumina and adhesive, and its outer surface is attached with rare metals such as platinum and palladium. Therefore, be careful when installing it to avoid damaging the probe.
(2) The installation height of the alarm should generally be between 160 and 170 cm to facilitate routine maintenance by maintenance personnel.
(3) The alarm is a safety instrument with sound and light display functions. It should be installed in a place where the staff can easily see and hear it so that hidden dangers can be eliminated in time.
(4) There should be no strong electromagnetic fields (such as high-power motors and transformers) around the alarm that may affect the operation of the instrument.
(5) The installation position of the indoor probe should be different depending on the density of the gas being measured. When the density of the gas being measured is less than the density of air, the probe should be installed 30 cm away from the roof, facing downward; otherwise, the probe should be installed 30 cm from the ground, facing upward.
The maximum allowable concentration of benzene volatiles in the air of the paint spraying workshop is: benzene 17 mg/m3, toluene 60 mg/m3, xylene 90 mg/m3; so we need a gas alarm controller to monitor the concentration of benzene volatiles in the paint spraying room at any time.
For detector probes installed in the open air, the temperature and humidity factors must be considered to ensure that the ambient temperature and humidity meet the instrument's instructions. The location where the instrument is installed should also take into account the impact of halogen compounds on the instrument, otherwise the detector sensitivity will be reduced, the service life will be shortened, and in severe cases, the instrument will lose its detection function.
