When using electromagnetic flowmeters for measurement, we often have to consider how to deal with problems such as no signal or weak signal. We should look for the reasons from the following possible problems:
1. If the pipe is too close to the wall, the probe can be installed on the pipe diameter with an inclined angle instead of on the horizontal pipe diameter. The Z method should be used to install the probe.
2. Check whether the pipeline is full of fluid.
3. Carefully select the dense part of the pipeline and polish it thoroughly, apply sufficient coupling agent and install the probe.
4. Carefully move each probe slowly near the installation point to find the maximum signal point to prevent
Wall scaling or local deformation of the pipe causes the ultrasonic beam to reflect out of the intended area and miss the installation point where a stronger signal can be received.
5. For metal pipes with serious scaling on the inner wall, you can use the method of hitting to make the scaling part fall off or crack, but be careful.
This method sometimes does not help the transmission of ultrasonic waves at all because of the gaps created between the scale and the inner wall.
