Working principle of magnetostrictive level gauge:
magnetostrictive level gauge consists of three parts: detection rod, circuit unit and float. During measurement, the circuit unit generates a current pulse, which is transmitted downward along the magnetostrictive line and generates a circular magnetic field. A float is provided outside the detection rod, and the float moves up and down along the detection rod as the liquid level changes. Since a group of permanent magnets are installed in the float, the float generates a magnetic field at the same time. When the current magnetic field meets the float magnetic field, a "twisted" pulse, or "return" pulse, is generated. The time difference between the "return" pulse and the current pulse is converted into a pulse signal, so as to calculate the actual position of the float and measure the liquid level.
The advantages of using a magnetostrictive level gauge to measure the liquid level of an oil tank are as follows:
1. Strong reliability: Since the magnetostrictive level gauge adopts the waveguide principle and has no mechanical moving parts, there is no friction and no wear. The entire converter is enclosed in a stainless steel tube and is non-contact with the measuring medium. The sensor works reliably and has a long service life.
2. High precision: Since the magnetostrictive level meter works with waveguide pulses, the measured displacement is determined by measuring the time of the start pulse and the end pulse during work, so the measurement accuracy is high and the resolution is better than 0.01%FS, which is difficult to achieve with other sensors.
3. Good safety: The magnetostrictive level meter has high explosion-proof performance, intrinsically safe explosion-proof, safe to use, and is particularly suitable for the measurement of chemical raw materials and flammable liquids. There is no need to open the tank cover during measurement to avoid the insecurity of manual measurement.
4. The magnetostrictive level meter is easy to install and maintain: The magnetostrictive level meter is generally installed through the existing pipe opening on the top of the tank, which is particularly suitable for the installation of underground storage tanks and storage tanks that have been put into operation, and it can be installed without affecting normal production.
5. Convenient for system automation: The secondary instrument of the magnetostrictive level meter adopts standard output signals, which is convenient for the microcomputer to process the signal, easy to realize networking work, and improve the automation of the entire measurement system.
