Electromagnetic flowmeter is a high-precision, high-reliability and long-life flow meter that works according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The meter consists of a sensor that directly contacts the pipeline medium and an upper signal converter. Because it is made based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, it has certain requirements for the conductivity of the measured liquid medium. Generally speaking, it can only be used to measure the flow of conductive liquids with a conductivity greater than 5μs/cm. It is a meter for measuring the flow of conductive media. In addition to being able to measure the flow of ordinary conductive liquids, it can also be used to measure highly corrosive liquids such as strong acids and strong alkalis and liquids that evenly contain liquid-solid two-phase suspensions, such as mud, slurry, pulp, etc. Most electromagnetic flowmeters are pipe segment measurements, which are divided into integrated pipe segments and split pipe segments. There is also an insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter. Before customers purchase and install the electromagnetic flowmeter, they need to connect the electromagnetic flowmeter to the pipeline. The connection method between the electromagnetic flowmeter and the pipeline is different. There are several connection methods:

1. Flange connection: This connection method is relatively traditional. There are flanges that can be connected at both ends of the electromagnetic flowmeter. When connecting with the pipeline, just fix the flanges at both ends with the flanges on the pipeline with bolts. This connection can be installed in one direction. The sensor with this connection is relatively small and is only suitable for use in small pipelines.

2. Clamp connection: This connection method is relatively advanced. Some electromagnetic flowmeters that do not have flanges themselves use this connection. They can be clamped between the two flanges of the pipeline with bolts. The connection method is relatively simple. We need to know the installation method of the electromagnetic flowmeter so that there will be no mistakes when performing the clamp connection.

3. Threaded connection: Some small-caliber electromagnetic flowmeters also use threaded connections, which are usually used in the medical and food industries. In addition, this connection is also used in petroleum and exploration.

4. Clean connection: Some small-diameter pipes now use this type of connection. We often call the clean connection a clamp connection. Through this connection, the electromagnetic flowmeter can be quickly installed and disassembled, and its daily cleaning and maintenance are also very convenient.
