Installation conditions and precautions for steam vortex flowmeter:
Installation conditions:
1. The sensor can be installed indoors or outdoors. Environmental conditions must meet the requirements.
2. The sensor should be installed on a horizontal, vertical or inclined (fluid flow direction from bottom to top) pipe corresponding to its nominal diameter.
3. The sensor should avoid being installed on a pipe with mechanical vibration. When vibration is unavoidable, it should be considered to add a fixed support frame to the straight pipe section about 2DN before and after the sensor.
4. Avoid installing the sensor induction in places with strong electromagnetic field interference, thermal radiation, corrosive gas, small space and inconvenient maintenance.
5. When the measured medium contains more impurities, a filter should be installed beyond the required length of the upstream straight pipe section of the sensor.
6. A certain length of straight pipe section should be configured upstream and downstream of the sensor. The inner wall of the straight pipe section should be clean and smooth, without obvious bumps, scale accumulation and peeling. Its length should meet the requirements of Figure 2. The pipe near the installation of the liquid sensor should be filled with the measured liquid.
7. The inner diameter of the straight pipe section should be consistent with the sensor diameter as much as possible. If it cannot be consistent, a pipe diameter slightly larger than the sensor diameter should be used, and the error should be ≤3% and not more than 5mm.
Installation precautions:
1. It can be installed indoors or outdoors. If it is installed in a ground well and there is a possibility of flooding, a submersible sensor or transmitter should be selected.
2. It can be installed horizontally, vertically or inclined on the pipeline, but when measuring liquid, the pipeline must be filled with liquid. Therefore, when installing a vortex flowmeter on a vertical or inclined pipeline, the flow direction of the liquid should be from bottom to top.
3. A long straight pipe section should be left on the upstream and downstream sides, and the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections should vary with the pipeline conditions. Avoid installing a regulating valve or a half-open valve upstream of the vortex flowmeter as much as possible, and install the regulating valve or half-open valve 5D downstream of the flowmeter.
4. The inner diameter of the installation pipeline must be consistent with the inner diameter of the flowmeter, otherwise the pipeline must be reduced in diameter.
5. When designing the pipeline installation, a 500mm space should be left at the upper end of the sensor or transmitter amplifier to facilitate debugging and maintenance.
