Turbine flowmeters are widely used in the following measurement objects: petroleum, organic liquids, inorganic liquids, liquefied gas, natural gas, food, beverages and cryogenic fluids. In Europe and the United States, turbine flowmeters are natural gas metering instruments second only to orifice flowmeters in terms of usage. The Netherlands alone has used more than 2,600 gas turbine flowmeters of various sizes and pressures ranging from 0.8 to 6.5 MPa on natural gas pipelines.
