The VI program in LabVIEW consists of three parts: the front panel, the flowchart, and the VI icon/connector panel. The front panel is the user interface of the VI program and the interactive input and output port of the VI program. Input controls and display controls are usually used to create the front panel. Input controls refer to input devices such as knobs, buttons, and dials. Input controls simulate the input devices of instruments and provide data for the VI flowchart; display controls refer to display devices such as charts and indicator lights. Display controls simulate the output devices of instruments and are used to display data obtained or generated by the flowchart. The blank front panel window is shown in Figure 1.
