Test Setup

This test uses the exact same script as the previous test, only this time the TSP trigger model is included. This trigger model uses the highly flexible and powerful digital I/O control of the 2602 and 3706.

The following instructions improve throughput through the trigger model:

Test Results

Depending on the DUT, this method can achieve switching speeds up to 850 cycles/second in a single measurement. The switching speeds for this method are so high that a 450μs delay must be added before the measurement to provide sufficient source settling time (depending on the DUT). Even with the settling time added, switching speeds can reach over 670 cycles/second.

Test Summary

Throughput is increased by 3 times by implementing TSP base and trigger model. Features such as TSP-Link, for loop, buffer and trigger model eliminate GPIB bus traffic and increase TSP speed.
